So I have this recipe and it’s awesome but I feel bad because no one knows about it and it is super good. So now I am going to share it with you.

2 cups sugar

1 ½ cups water

1 cup corn syrup

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon glycerine

1 teaspoon vanilla

2 tablespoons butter

Mix sugar, water, corn syrup, salt and glycerine in a heavy saucepan. Bring to a boil and cook to a temperature of 258 degrees F. Remove from heat and let stand for two to three minutes. Then add vanilla and butter and stir vigorously until butter is melted. Pour into buttered cookie sheet. Cool until lukewarm candy can be handled. Then pull and moosh until white. The whiter the better, then it won’t stick to your teeth as much. Then you can cut or mold it into whatever shape you want. I personally like to have it in little pieces so it’s easier to eat and take places. Stephen Colbert said, “there is nothing wrong with stretching the truth. We stretch taffy and that just makes it more delicious.” I LOVE taffy and also if you want to add color or a different flavor you can do that too to make it more flavorful. Oh and come back next week to see me teach you how to make caramel’s!
