Woman arrested for killing someone in car crash

In Richfield, Utah, Lesia Ann Allred was put into Sevier County Jail for hitting a car head-on, killing the other person in the crash on Wednesday, 9/15/21. Police say it could have been a possible attempt of suicide. Lesia came out into oncoming traffic. People looked at her medical records and saw that she was suicidal. Police have asked that Allred was to be held without bail because of her suicidal thoughts. Allred was charged with murder, a first-degree felony and aggravated assault causing serious injury, a second-degree felony.

Allred was driving a 2010 Chevy Tahoe and hit a 2012 Chevy Malibu. The Chevy Tahoe was at full acceleration when the collision happened. According to MidUtahRadio.com, it says, “The force of the collision propelled the Malibu 75 feet and resulted in the Tahoe rolling onto its roof…”.  In the car that was hit there was a man and his wife. Clinton Duane Henrie died the day after the crash from his injuries. His wife, Jaymi Lee Henrie suffered a broken leg and pelvis. They were both taken to the local hospital after the crash had happened. A security camera from a nearby restaurant showed she was in control of her car until she turned then she started to accelerate.
