Draper Park Middle School has come out with a new cell phone policy this 2021 school year.  The cell phone policy is different this year and students are not allowed to have cell phones out the whole school day including lunch.

8th grade student Lily Winchester said, “I think phones should be allowed at Draper Park Middle School because I need to contact my siblings when my parents are gone, and I also need to be able to contact my parents in case of an emergency.” 8th grade student Camryn Reid said, ” I think we should not have a cell phone policy because it takes away my freedom.” 8th grade student Lucy Buehler said, ” I need to be able to contact people so we should not have a cell phone policy here at Draper Park Middle School.”

Many people think Draper Park Middle School should not have a cell phone policy. 69% of 11-14 year olds have a cell phone according to webmd.com.
