Trends vs Dress Code

Josie Aho and Sloan P

Clothes that student’s at Draper Park Middle School and other schools wear sometimes go against the dress code. Some students are questioning and sometimes going against the dress code.

Some of the trends nowadays go against the dress code consist of ripped Jeans, tank tops, crop tops, shorter shorts, shorter skirts, bralettes, etc.

According to the DPMS dress code, Clothes shall not be ripped or mutilated, they should cover the midriff, underwear, backs and cleavage at all times.

People nowadays get lots of their style ideas off of social media, but those styles don’t mix with the school dress code.

Students these days are finding it hard to dress trendy and follow dress code.
