Members of DPMS’S band and orchestra are beginning to stress about their upcoming concert on Thursday, October 7th.

There will be four concerts: Concert Band, Percussion, Orchestra 2, and Orchestra 3. Concert Band, which consists of tubas, baritones, trombones, trumpets, french horns, saxophones, oboes, bassoons, clarinets, piano, and flutes, have three songs: Black Forest Overture, Midnight Sky, and Shadows Unleashed. Orchestra 2, which consists of cello, bass, viola, and violin, has 2 songs: Abandoned Funhouse, and Sourwood Mountain. Orchestra 3, which consists of cello, bass, viola, violin, has 3 songs: Nighthawk, Haunted Carousel, and Ghost Carnival. Percussion, which is drums and marimbas and whatnot, has one song, Mozambique.

This concert, everyone’s first of the year, will help Mr. Giddings, the band and orchestra director, decide what music to use when the band and orchestra audition for the state competitions.
