Harry Potter cast reunites for 20th anniversary

The beloved Harry Potter cast is reuniting for the 20th Anniversary of the first Harry Potter film in London, on the first of January, 2022. To view this spectacular get-together, the film will air on HBO Max. the title of this feature is named “Return to Hogwarts.”

20 years ago, the first movie of the Harry Potter franchise, The Sorcerer’s Stone, debuted. On November 16th, the trailer to this marvelous event launched.

“It has been an incredible journey since the debut of the Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone film, and witnessing how it has evolved into this remarkable interconnected universe has been magical to say the least,”

 Tom Ascheim, president of Warner Bros. global kids, young adults, and classics, said in a statement to Variety. 

“This retrospective is a tribute to everyone whose lives were touched by this cultural phenomenon—from the talented cast and crew who poured their heart and soul into this extraordinary film franchise to the passionate fans who

continue to keep the Wizarding World spirit alive 20 years later.”

The cast of the film franchise will be reuniting in London, re-visiting the Warner Bros. film studio sets for Harry Potter in London. Fans around the world will be able to watch the precious golden 3 head back to Hogwarts in the special feature. According to glamour.com, “Twenty years ago, we first boarded the train to Hogwarts in theaters with the release of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. Now the Harry Potter cast is back in an HBO reunion special.”  

The cast includes the adored Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, Tom Felton, Evanna Lynch, Bonnie Wright, James and Oliver Phelps, Matthew Lewis, and many more of the top characters. 

The author of this franchise, JK Rowling, is not yet known to be a part of this fantastic rite, due to her statements of LGBTQ+ (CNN).
