From messy lockers, to backpacks that look like a mouse could live in them, organization is important to your daily life. You might not even notice it. You do this by putting things away neatly, to get better grades. Organization takes place during, and after school.

“I do feel that I am organized. I think that organization affects your grade because you can find your homework and study before quizzes and tests,” said Brynlee Olson, 7th grade student.

Studies show that organization affects grades and learning. To get better grades and enhance learning you need to stay organized. According to schoolcounselor.org .

“No! I do not feel that I am organized but, yes it does affect your grade,” said Morgan Brown, 7th grade student.

Some strategies to stay organized are: keeping a binder to separate all of your different subjects, keep a class schedule in a binder, as well as in you locker. According to cpsd.us. . organized students learn to solve small issues themselves. This helps them to succeed and learn faster.  Finally, your homework space can’t have any distractions, and it should have plenty of supplies, according to cpsd.us. .

“I think a good organizing tip is to organize things into bins in your locker, and at home. Then you know where all of your stuff is,” said Samantha Harkness, 6th grade student.

Not only does organization help you get the grades you deserve in school, it prepares you for the “real life” according to, work.chron.com .

“You can tell when a student is organized because, you look in their bag and if it’s organized with folders, they get an A! If you look in their bag and find papers all over, they probably are not getting a great grade,” said Sharlene Wardrop, 7th grade Utah studies teacher.
