Cross country runners are practicing, setting goals and staying active this Fall while participating in cross country meets.

“When it comes to running, self motivation is everything, having a better mind set, sleeping well, and eating right makes you a lot faster,” said Christina Stenten, cross country coach.

A long run is very important in a running career and the best way to do well is to have self motivation, according to Active.com .

“To prepare for a run, you need to eat correctly and drink water an hour before a race,” said Callaway Call, a 7th grade student.

Good form in running is not very common, but rarely, you will find someone that does know proper form.

“Good form while running is moving your arms straight back and forth, and doing the same with your legs while landing on the balls of your feet,” said Emma Bodell, 7th grade student.
